First of all I would like to say a big thank you to Wendell for allowing me to add my first guest post here on wendellbulbaai.com. Wendell’s site, I find is honestly one of the most informative blogs I have ever come across.
My name is Daniel Gregory. I would like to talk about my personal experience within the network/internet/affiliate marketing industries which so far has been a really good experience. I understand that it might not be for everyone but neither is learning how to be an engineer or a lawyer or a doctor. The fact of the matter is that the knowledge and skills I am gaining inside of these particular industries, can not only be used in everyday life but can be used towards creating a lifestyle that most can only dream of. I think the main problem that most beginners encounter is that they don’t fully understand that hard work and diligence is required in the beginning. Just like anything else this will normally pay off in the end.
Having the correct mindset is thrown around a lot in these industries, and for very good reason indeed because a large number of people, beginners especially, think they need to be making the big bucks right from the start, otherwise it just doesn’t work. My good friend and mentor (Frank Mechler) taught me that networking is just like starting an apprenticeship and in some cases you might need to be an apprentice for up to 8 years before you become classed as a professional. The thing with network/internet/affiliate marketing is that the potential of earning a large income is available right from the beginning and if you are fortunate enough to be aligned with the right people that know what they’re doing then you could be earning what most lawyers or doctors would consider a ridiculous amount of money inside of very short period.
In my opinion and I’m sure the opinion of many others, it’s not absolutely necessary for an individual to find success inside of these industries being held by the hand every step of the way. I believe by being diligent, always having a willingness to learn & keeping an eye out for relevant educational resources to ensure you’re always evolving, there’s really no reason why you could possibly fail.
I personally have been involved in network marketing now for almost one year and less than five months for internet/affiliate marketing. I’ve only just started to see the light and have a few small successes here and there and even though it’s taken me this long to see those small successes I’m more determined than ever to keep going.
To me it’s really quite simple…do I want to stay at my current job as an office manager where I have been busting my butt for the last 12 years making someone else financially independent? Or do I want to help others just like me to find a new life inside of an incredibly lucrative industry that has so much to offer and so much room inside for so many people.
The answer is the same every time for me and all I have to do is go back to the piece of paper that I wrote down, clarifying my goals & intentions.
To summarize my personal experience up until this point, I would have to say that I’ve never enjoyed learning so much in my life and I think that’s partially because I am very clear on what I’m moving towards. Also, the people that I am learning from have the highest integrity on the planet and only want to see me succeed and will go out of their way to make sure I do.
To take a look at some of the stuff that I have been learning inside of these industries, go and checkout my blog and let me know what you think. I’d love any feedback, thoughts & suggestions.
